Falls of Lana, Mooselamoo & Silver Lake

A 5 minute drive from Kampersville is the Falls of Lana trail-head.  A short hike leads you over the Sucker Brook, and to a picnic area and the Lake Dunmore overlook.  Near the brook crossing, several other trails branch off including Moosalamoo and Silver Lake.  The trail to Mt. Moosalamoo includes the Rattlesnake Cliffs at the top – this scenic vantage points gives you the “top of the world” view of Lake Dunmore and Addison County.  Silver Lake is a large mountain lake, good for fishing or just enjoying the hike.

Many trails weave their way up the west side of Moosalamoo from Keewayden.  One of the most popular being the Ethan Allen trail – see the caves that legendary Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain boys used at one point in time.
